BBI: Russian billionaires lose about $15 bln on Thursday

MOSCOW, Mar 13 (PRIME) -- The combined wealth of richest Russians fell by more than U.S. $15 billion on Thursday, according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index (BBI) seen by PRIME on Friday.

The index is calculated basing on capitalization and financial reports of companies owned by the businessmen or on capitalization to earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) ratio and or a share price to earnings per share ratio. The rating comprises 500 wealthiest people of the world, including 24 Russians.

The wealth of Vladimir Potanin, owner of Norilsk Nickel, decreased by $1.71 billion to $24.6 billion.

Vladimir Lisin lost $1.05 billion to $16.6 billion. Alexei Mordashov $994 million to $14.9 billion. Alisher Usmanov $505 million to $14.5 billion. Lukoil’s owner Vagit Alekperov went down to the fifth place from the second one with a $1.9 billion loss and a $14.4 billion wealth.
